The Quooker Boiling Water Tap gives homes instant access to 100 degree boiling water, dispensed from the tap on the worktop, and supplied from the tank underneath.
The Quooker system begins with the high-vacuum tank, usually located in a kitchen cupboard, that is connected to the boiling water tap on the worktop. The tank performs like a high-vacuum flask, with the air inside the insulated walls so thin that heat is unable to escape from the tank. For this reason, the water is able to be kept at a constant 110 degrees whilst expending minimal energy. When the user is ready for instant boiling water, the water flows out of the tap in an aerated spray, and the tank naturally fills up with fresh water.
Quooker has developed a range of different tanks, including the COMBI, which can mix the boiling water it produces with cold, to provide boiling, cold and 40-60 degrees hot water all from a single cold water supply. Each Quooker system comes with their patented high-vacuum insulation which keeps the water at the correct temperature in the most energy-efficient way possible. The standby power consumption is as little as three pence per day.
How Safe is the Quooker Tap?
Every Quooker Boiling Water Tap is installed with important safety features built in as standard, including a childproof handle and lights to indicate when the boiling water tap is on and ready to be used. When in use, the boiling water is delivered as an aerated spray, not a solid jet, in order to prevent accidental scalds or burns. The Quooker has been installed 500,000 times around the world and is the safest choice for every household; unlike a kettle, the tap will never fall over and spill.
Why Install a Quooker Boiling Tap?
When you get a Quooker Tap installed in your kitchen, you are not only getting the convenience of instant boiling water straight from the tap, you are investing in efficiency.
Advantages of the Quooker Tap:
- Energy Efficiency– Homes that need boiled water several times a day will use less energy with a Quooker tap than they will with a kettle. This is the first 'boiler' in the world with high-vacuum insulation, and will use 50 percent less energy than a regular kitchen boiler.
- Water Efficiency – Being economical with water is so important, yet households regularly waste water waiting for the hot water tap to come up to temperature. With a Quooker tap, you can get instant access to hot water suitable for washing dishes, or boiling water suitable for hot drinks.
- Time & Space Saver – Sure it doesn't take too long to wait for a kettle to boil. But minutes turn to hours, and hours turn to days. A Quooker tap gives you those days back and instant access to boiling water when you need it most. With no need for a kettle you'll have more space on your worktop to slice, knead and chop.
- Versatile– Fancy a quick cup of tea? Cooking some pasta? Pre-heating dinner plates? Rinsing the dirty casserole dish? The opportunities to use the Quooker Boiling Tap seem endless. You might discover uses even we haven't thought of!
